WELCOME TO CRESWELL ROSE & CROWN CRICKET CLUB WEBSITE

The site has been designed to give our cricket club an online presence and also as a resource for our players to keep up to date with whats going on.

We are looking for fixtures for 2008 and invite any clubs or representitive sides in the Derbyshire/Notts/South Yorks ares to contact us and arrange a match. We are very inexperienced and only play for a bit of fun. In 2007, our 1st season, we managed just 4 games. In 2008 we would like a full fixture calendar. We want to play teams such as works sides, pub sides, 3rd 11's, seniors or any made up 11's. We do not want to play full strength league teams looking to boost their egos !

Only a few of our players have ever played in a league team before. At present we are fundraising in order to buy some new kit. If anyone would like to buy us something in return for sponsorship please contact us.

We are based in Creswell, Derbyshire, and would be willing to travel any reasonable distance for a game. Unfortunately due to the closure of the colliery and the general decline of sporting venues in our village we no longer have a cricket ground so for now we can only play away games. We are looking to share/rent a ground on a casual basis with a team in nearby villages which we could use as our "home" ground.
